Connect ChatGPT

Connect Room Saint through a custom MCP connection in ChatGPT.

Select the Room Saint endpoint

For trips and other authorized account actions, use:

https://www.roomsaint.com/mcp/account

For anonymous, read-only hotel discovery, use https://www.roomsaint.com/mcp. These are custom MCP connections; this guide does not require a Room Saint listing in a public app directory.

Create a custom MCP connection

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and enable Developer mode, if available.
  2. Open ChatGPT's Plugins area, select the plus button, and enter a name such as Room Saint.
  3. Under Connection, enter the full public HTTPS endpoint above, including /mcp/account.
  4. Create the connection and finish Room Saint authorization when prompted. Review the discovered tools.
  5. Start a conversation and enable the connection from the tools menu.

Availability depends on your account and workspace policy. Menus can change; consult OpenAI's current MCP connection instructions if your interface differs. An account connection uses Room Saint authentication; the public endpoint needs none.

Test the connection

Ask ChatGPT to find hotels through Room Saint and include their Room Saint page URLs. With the account connection, ask it to list your trips before asking it to save a hotel. Confirm saves in My Trips.

Refresh or replace an old connection

If the URL still ends in /mcp, replace it with /mcp/account for account tools and reauthorize. Refresh discovered tools in the connection settings, then start a new conversation. Public tool names use underscores; account tool names such as manage-trips use hyphens.

If your workspace does not permit custom MCP connections, use the website or ask your workspace administrator about access.
